Nina Mueller, O.D.


Dr. Müller graduated from the University of Aalen/Germany with a Bachelor degree in Ophthalmic Optics (Dipl.-Ing. FH) in 2001. Following this, she worked in private practices in Germany and Switzerland as a Contact Lens Specialist while participating in several research projects for 6 years. In 2007 she received a Master’s degree in Vision Science and Business (Optometry) from the Aalen University in Germany.

In 2007, Dr. Müller moved to the US and completed her optometric studies as a graduate of the class of 2009 of the Advanced Standing International OD (“Dr. of Optometry”) program at the New England College of Optometry (NECO).

Dr. Müller is working as staff optometrist at ELZA Augeninstitut as well as part-time at the University Eye Hospital in Basel. She works in the areas of clinical optometry as well as specialty contact lenses. In addition to seeing patients she is responsible for the education of Optometry students as well as Ophthalmology residents in the areas of contact lenses, ophthalmic optics and physical optics.
