ARVO, Seattle, Washington.
ARVO, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, is the largest annual meeting of the scientific community in ophthalmology, with more than 11’000 attendants.
The ELZA Institute is represented at ARVO with 2 scientific abstracts on cross-linking technology. Dr. Sabine Kling has developed a cornea model that allows to predict the increase in stiffness after cross-linking extremely thin corneas, and Wafa Al-Otaibi is assessing the prevalence of keratoconus in children and adolescents in Saudi-Arabia. These abstracts are part of the Sneak Peek of the USC Roski Eye Institute (Affiliation of Prof. Hafezi).
