Farhad Hafezi, Diretor M\u00e9dico do Instituto ELZA, Zurique, Su\u00ed\u00e7a, foi o segundo classificado dos pr\u00e9mios VSY Biotechnology's Ophthalmology Star 2021, apresentados na reuni\u00e3o anual da ESCRS deste ano em Amesterd\u00e3o, no in\u00edcio deste m\u00eas. O pr\u00e9mio foi atribu\u00eddo em reconhecimento do seu trabalho no projeto \"sub400<\/a>\"Protocolo para o tratamento de c\u00f3rneas finas com queratectasia com cross-linking corneano.<\/p>\n

O Prof. Hafezi \u00e9 um especialista reconhecido internacionalmente e um pioneiro dos cuidados oftalmol\u00f3gicos que tem liderado uma equipa no ELZA desde 2015 para desenvolver novos protocolos de tratamento para o ceratocone e outras formas de ectasia da c\u00f3rnea.<\/p>\n

O pr\u00e9mio foi entregue pessoalmente pelo Dr. Ike Ahmed do Prism Eye Institute de Mississauga, Ont\u00e1rio, Canad\u00e1.<\/p>\n
