Prof. Farhad Hafezi<\/a>O Diretor M\u00e9dico do Instituto ELZA em Zurique, Su\u00ed\u00e7a, foi o orador principal na confer\u00eancia Congresso RIO2023<\/a>Confer\u00eancia Internacional do Research Institute of Ophthalmology, realizada no Hilton Heliopolis Hotel no Cairo, Egito.<\/p>

O vasto conhecimento e a experi\u00eancia do Prof. Hafezi em cirurgia refractiva e cross-linking corneano revelaram-se inestim\u00e1veis para os delegados do Congresso RIO2023. A sua palestra principal, em particular, forneceu informa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre os mais recentes avan\u00e7os no tratamento de c\u00f3rneas com menos de 400 m\u00edcrons de espessura - e potencialmente t\u00e3o baixas quanto 200 m\u00edcrons, usando o protocolo sub400. O protocolo sub400 simplifica drasticamente a reticula\u00e7\u00e3o de c\u00f3rneas finas e ajuda a evitar muitos dos inconvenientes das abordagens mais antigas. Os cirurgi\u00f5es precisam apenas de\u00a0ajustar o tempo de irradia\u00e7\u00e3o UV com base na espessura individual da c\u00f3rnea do paciente<\/a>. O protocolo sub400, desenvolvido pelos cirurgi\u00f5es e investigadores da ELZA, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel gra\u00e7as a outra descoberta da ELZA:\u00a0o papel essencial do oxig\u00e9nio no CXL para o tratamento da ectasia<\/a>. Isto permitiu \u00e0 equipa de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e aos colaboradores da ELZA construir um algoritmo que modela a rea\u00e7\u00e3o de reticula\u00e7\u00e3o da c\u00f3rnea,\u00a0que pode prever a profundidade do efeito<\/a>. \u00c9 isto que permite que o protocolo sub400 seja realizado com seguran\u00e7a em doentes com c\u00f3rneas finas, e foi um t\u00f3pico altamente merecedor da palestra principal do RIO2023.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Al\u00e9m disso, o Prof. Hafezi tamb\u00e9m efectuou uma demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o de cirurgia ao vivo de CXL epi-off na l\u00e2mpada de fenda durante o Congresso, utilizando o\u00a0EMAGine AG<\/a>\u00a0Dispositivo C-eye e\u00a0RIBO-KER riboflavina.<\/a>\u00a0Esta demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o pr\u00e1tica proporcionou aos participantes uma oportunidade \u00fanica de testemunhar as mais recentes t\u00e9cnicas e tecnologias em a\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>

O Prof. Hafezi manifestou o seu apre\u00e7o aos organizadores da confer\u00eancia, em especial ao Presidente da Confer\u00eancia, Professor Mostafa Salah, e ao Secret\u00e1rio-Geral da Confer\u00eancia, Hisham Ali Hashem, pela oportunidade de intervir na confer\u00eancia.<\/p>
