In May 2023, Prof. Farhad Hafezi<\/a>, Medical Director of the ELZA Institute, had the honor of participating as a keynote speaker at the SECOIR 2023<\/a>\u00a0meeting in Malaga, Spain. The meeting, held at the Hotel Vincci Seleccion Posada del Patio, and served as a platform for several renowned figures in the field to share knowledge and engage in meaningful discussions.<\/p><\/div>

During the SECOIR 2023 meeting, Prof. Hafezi delivered several impactful presentations on corneal cross-linking, and one on the nature of ophthalmologists working with industry.<\/p>

PACE and Customized CXL<\/strong><\/p>

In a dedicated keratoconus symposium, Prof. Hafezi discussed “PACE and customized CXL”, elucidating on the developments in these corneal cross-linking methods and their application in ophthalmology.<\/p>

Key Points to Consider Before Engaging with Industry About Research<\/strong><\/p>

In the session titled “Medicina Exponencial: Transformaci\u00f3n de la Oftalmolog\u00eda” (Exponential Medicine: Transforming Ophthalmology), Prof. Hafezi shared vital insights on the “Key points to consider before engaging with industry about research”. This talk was pivotal in closing the session, and Prof. Hafezi was honored with a SECOIR 2023 plaque of recognition for his contribution.<\/p>
