Em representa\u00e7\u00e3o do ELZA, mas tamb\u00e9m da Sociedade Europeia de Cirurgi\u00f5es de Cataratas e Refractivos (ESCRS), da qual \u00e9 membro da dire\u00e7\u00e3o, o Prof. Hafezi fez uma importante apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o sobre os avan\u00e7os mais recentes no diagn\u00f3stico e tratamento do ceratocone durante a sess\u00e3o internacional do congresso.<\/p>\n<p>Durante o Congresso de Oftalmologistas Polacos, o Prof. Hafezi destacou as mais recentes abordagens personalizadas ao cross-linking da c\u00f3rnea, centrando-se em dois protocolos inovadores: ELZA-PACE e ECO-CAIRS. ELZA-PACE \u00e9 uma t\u00e9cnica de reticula\u00e7\u00e3o personalizada de segunda gera\u00e7\u00e3o que utiliza a remo\u00e7\u00e3o selectiva do epit\u00e9lio guiada por topografia para melhorar a penetra\u00e7\u00e3o da riboflavina e otimizar a din\u00e2mica do oxig\u00e9nio na c\u00f3rnea. Esta abordagem direcionada melhora a estabiliza\u00e7\u00e3o biomec\u00e2nica ao mesmo tempo que preserva as zonas epiteliais, aumentando a seguran\u00e7a e a efic\u00e1cia do tratamento.<\/p>\n<p>O ECO-CAIRS modifica o procedimento de Segmentos de Anel Intrastromal Alog\u00e9nicos da C\u00f3rnea, aplicando reticula\u00e7\u00e3o extracorporal de ultra-alta flu\u00eancia aos segmentos de anel dadores antes da implanta\u00e7\u00e3o. Este refor\u00e7o biol\u00f3gico da c\u00f3rnea oferece novas possibilidades para a reabilita\u00e7\u00e3o do ceratocone, melhorando a integra\u00e7\u00e3o estrutural e os resultados visuais.<\/p>\n<p>A apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o do Prof. Hafezi enfatizou a import\u00e2ncia de adaptar o tratamento ao perfil individual da c\u00f3rnea, fazendo avan\u00e7ar a medicina personalizada na gest\u00e3o das doen\u00e7as ect\u00e1ticas da c\u00f3rnea. O seu trabalho no Instituto ELZA, em Zurique, continua a moldar os padr\u00f5es globais, fazendo a ponte entre a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o rigorosa e a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o cl\u00ednica.<\/p>\n<p>Para al\u00e9m dos seus contributos cient\u00edficos, o Prof. Hafezi envolveu-se profundamente com o patrim\u00f3nio cultural de Crac\u00f3via. Visitou as hist\u00f3ricas Minas de Sal de Wieliczka, onde o seu av\u00f4 trabalhou como mineiro de sal h\u00e1 mais de um s\u00e9culo, e saboreou pratos tradicionais polacos, como o pierogi de morango. Incentivou os outros participantes a explorar os marcos culturais \u00fanicos de Crac\u00f3via, incluindo um raro retrato feminino de Leonardo da Vinci que se encontra no local.<\/p>\n<p>A participa\u00e7\u00e3o do Prof. Farhad Hafezi em Crac\u00f3via 2025 exemplifica uma fus\u00e3o bem sucedida de inova\u00e7\u00e3o oftalmol\u00f3gica e liga\u00e7\u00e3o cultural, refor\u00e7ando a
