This analogy was used to illustrate how a convergence of unfavorable factors in healthcare can lead to disastrous outcomes, akin to the catastrophic events depicted in the film.
A further highlight of the session was the introduction of Dr. Paridaens by Dr. Frank Goes, the incoming chairman of OB. Notably, Dr. Goes was Dr. Paridaens’ first oculoplastic fellow at the Rotterdam Eye Hospital back in 2003, adding a personal touch to the event.
