Prof Kaweh Mansouri

Kaweh Mansouri was born and raised in Austria.

Clinical focus: Glaucoma

Medical and surgical treatment of complex glaucoma cases, including laser treatment and filtration surgery
MIGS: Micro Invasive Glaucoma Surgery. Prof. Mansouri is a pioneer of MIGS surgery, a treatment that has revolutionised pressure reduction in glaucoma, and has spared many from requiring more invasive filtration surgery, and reduced the need for eyedrops in many patients.
24 hour intraocular pressure (IOP) monitoring. Prof. Mansouri has been at the forefront of a new way of measuring IOP using a high-tech contact lens that enables continuous pressure monitoring, something that is revealing important information about people’s glaucoma and the effectiveness of their treatment.
